This week I finished drawing the crusaders church. We intend on having the story of Raven's Path be a satire on war. So we decided to have the church represent how brutal and in conflict with Christianities core values the crusaders really were. I drew a lot of blood and gore covering the floor of the church as well as the two types of crusaders crosses embroidered on the carpet. We really wanted to show how taking a hard stance on an ideal or a symbol and blindly following it can easily result in disgusting acts of violence.
